Offensive – Demo (self-released, 2014).

With a name like Offensive and a quote from serial killer and child molester Ian Brady on the back, you can expect that what you’re getting is a slab of ugly metal. Well, you won’t be disappointed in the sixteen and a half minutes of thrashing Black Metal filth. First song Worship Flesh is pretty sick, with good catchy yet violent riffs. The second track Filth starts off with a riff reminiscent to some degree of Nifelheim, and there are various other occasions on the rest of the demo of somewhat familiar riffs which helps reveal where Offensive have gotten their influence from. The production is not the best quality, but then again this is a demo, so it doesn’t matter too much. This is a promising start, and I look forward to hearing more from this band.

6/10.
